WEC Group comprises six divisions including an in-house training academy.

WEC Fabrication comprises three specialist fabrication arms. Welding Engineering is our heavy fabrication division focused on delivering projects for aerospace, marine, automotive, defense and oil & gas. m-tec specialises in bespoke architectural stainless steel and mild steel projects and also specialises in the fabrication of major public art features. SP Fabrications Ltd is a light fabrication house providing a service to smaller companies who require individual or small batch work.


WEC Laser comprises Laser Engineering UK and 5750 Components Ltd providing laser cutting, tube cutting & box cutting to various industries using the latest state-of-the-art technologies. WEC Laser houses two tube cutting machines and seven flat bed laser cutters.


WEC Rail, signal structures, gantries

Description Our WEC Rail division provides bridgework, signal structure fabrication, rolling stock metalwork, CCTV mounting solutions and outdoor cabinets.


WEC Machining comprises Hi-Spec CNC and Nutter Aircrafts Ltd. These two precision engineering companies provide cnc machining for various industries such as defense, aerospace, mining and oil & gas. Hi-Spec Machinery provides workshop machinery to educational institutions and for industrial use. Hi-Spec Tail Lifts provides ambulance tail lifts and patient lifts for the emergency services.

WEC CCTV is the leading manufacturer of CCTV poles, cctv columns and cctv towers in the UK. Whatever your camera mounting problem, WEC CCTV has the solution for you.


WEC Rail provides signal structures, walkways and bridge, rolling stock metalwork and camera mounting systems for the rail industry. WEC Rail is a growing division for the company, seeing an increase in demand for our specialist skills.


Our Welding & Engineering training academy is the only one of its kind in the UK and trains 16-25 year olds in the art of welding and fabrication. To date the Training Academy has trained 45 apprentices who now work within the Group. Every year the students' achievements are celebrated via our Apprentice of the Year Awards. David Cameron visited the Academy on the eve of the General Elections to see first-hand how apprenticeship schemes can be a success and the scheme recently won the coveted Lancashire Telegraph Business Award for Training & Development.
